We’re back, Fear Clinic-ers!
Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the theatre…Fear Clinic returns to Dayton! That’s right, your favorite new musical will be featured as part of Encore Theater Company’s Litehouse Reading Series. The big day is Tuesday, January 11th, at 7pm in the Litehouse Loft downtown. This is a fabulous series that provides its writers with amazing feedback, so please please come out if you can!
Though it seems like we’ve been in hiding for awhile, the Fear Clinic team has been hard at work. Composer Alex is getting ready to start work as assistant conductor on The Drowsy Chaperone with the Human Race Theatre Company. Librettist Kelsey is returning from a tour with the Missoula Children’s Theatre and will begin prepping for a production of her play Reception in Kansas City. But we’re both very excited to revisit Fear Clinic…and continue working on some new material as well!
The folks at Encore Theater Company have been very good to us by featuring Fear Clinic‘s opening number, “Who I Am”, as part of their Big Fat Concert Series. Below is a video of their performance (which also features the vocal stylings of our own Alex Horton!). Be sure to check out the rest of the concert, which featured lots of songs from up and coming musical theatre composers.
